You can learn more about GE Capital overall at http://www.gecapital.com About Global Decision Science Global Decision Science (GDS) Team, as part of GE Capital, is providing off shore advanced analytical service to Marketing and Risk function mainly in both consumer finance (branded as GE Money in several markets) and commercial finance business within GE Capital. We excel in the analytical work of Predictive Analytics, Portfolio Segmentation, Model Development, Strategy Design, Portfolio Analysis, MIS/Dashboards, Consulting and etc. Role Summary/Purpose The Business Analyst intern position could be a key entry point for future analytics and/or business leaders within GE Capital. At this position, you will have the opportunity to learn about and utilize the fundamentals of analytics through participation in various assignments. Exposure could include statistical modeling and portfolio strategy development. Essential Responsibilities Provide analytics supports to GE businesses, including but not limited to: •Collaborate with GE Capital local business teams to translate business problems into statistical pieces, build and manage projects, utilize statistical tools to develop and implement actionable business solutions. •Develop report to identify drivers of growth, losses, profitability of consumer portfolios, and to highlight business issues and opportunities. •Participate in developing statistical models and strategies. Qualifications/Requirements •Bachelor degree holders and current master degree candidates who will finish graduate studies in the next 1 or 2 years •Candidates should hold degrees in disciplines with strong quantitative background, e.g. Engineering, Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Physics, and Economics. •Excellent communication skills including fluent English and ability to organizing thoughts and articulate them. •Strong analytical aptitudes including broad skills in data manipulation, statistics knowledge background will be a plus. •Motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, professional and willing to work hard.
